Rules to Make Dinnertime More Fun
First, stack your peas up carefully so none of them can fall,
Now, gash the mashed potatoes so the lava-gravy really flows.
Please note: the gravy shouldn't touch the peas or carrots - not at all.
It's a basic rule, but one that almost every child knows.
Now move the carrots carefully across the plate and then,
match each carrot with two peas and mash them into goo.
Count the other peas to see if you have more than ten-
You'll have to start all over with the carrots if you do.
If, at this point, someone asks you why you will not eat your food,
proudly show the empty spot where carrots used to be,
then say how good the dinner is, this shows you are not rude.
Make shapes with the potatoes and hum your favorite melody.
If you follow these directions, you'll make dinner time more fun,
And making up your own rules helps make the game complete.
But the most important rule of all, after dinner is all done-
wait for a while then say "I'm hungry - is there anything to eat?"
