New Math

"How many feet in a yard?" you ask.
Well it all depends, I suppose,
on whose yard it is we're talking about-
but I don't guess that anyone knows.

And how many people are standing about;
and how many dogs there are;
and if people are standing or sitting,
or just asleep in the back of the car.

So my guess is thirty, or forty
but tell me why do you laugh?
I think I did pretty well myself
and you said I was no good at math.
